Purpose:
TCE is committed to sourcing tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold (3TG) responsibly, ensuring these minerals do not directly or indirectly finance armed groups in conflict-affected or high-risk areas. This policy aligns with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals.

Scope:
Applies to all products manufactured or assembled by TCE and all direct suppliers providing materials containing 3TG.

Policy Commitments
1. Responsible Sourcing: All 3TG must comply with applicable laws, regulations, and international standards.
2. Supplier Due Diligence: Suppliers must provide transparency on sources, smelters, and refiners of 3TG.
3. Third-Party Audits: Suppliers are encouraged to use smelters validated by independent audit programs.
4. Risk Assessment & Corrective Actions: TCE assesses supply chain risks and implements corrective actions for any non-compliance.
5. Transparency & Reporting: Smelter and supplier information is collected, reviewed, and reported via CMRT or other reporting channels.

Implementation:

  • Policy is integrated into procurement, supplier management, and internal audits.
  • Employees and suppliers receive training on responsible mineral sourcing.
  • Supplier compliance is monitored regularly, with continuous improvement tracked.

Governance & Review
Endorsed by the Director of TCE, this policy is reviewed at least annually to ensure alignment with international standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
